Hello

My name is Medgine Present. I am a fourth-year social work major at Florida Atlantic University. My passion lies in equipping myself with the necessary skills to serve as a compassionate social worker, catering to the diverse needs of my clients.

With aspirations to specialize in medical social work, I actively seek out opportunities to broaden my understanding of various populations' unique requirements. My coursework has encompassed subjects such as psychology, anthropology, social work research, substance abuse in social work, and social work professions. Additionally, my involvement in student government enables me to apply problem-solving skills in real-life scenarios, addressing campus needs.

 

My career goal is to delve into medical social work, particularly in hospital and clinical settings. I find these environments particularly fulfilling as they provide a crucial support system during vulnerable moments for patients. Offering nurturing care feels instinctive to me, and I believe it significantly contributes to enhancing patients' well-being and aiding their journey towards improved health. Moreover, collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to empower individuals towards a better quality of life is something I deeply value and enjoy.
