MEDGINE'S E-PORTFOLIO
Academic Writing
Strengths
- Organization:
I've always been meticulous about organization, and this trait extends to my writing abilities. When I start drafting a paper, I don't initially concentrate on organization. Thoughts often come to me in a disordered or scattered manner, so I prefer to let ideas flow freely at first. Once I've captured my thoughts on paper, I strategically structure them, along with supporting evidence, to create a clear path for readers through complex ideas and arguments.
- Focused:
A crucial aspect of conveying my thoughts effectively involves maintaining focus on the subject matter. While writing about topics I'm passionate about, the temptation to delve into excessive detail can be strong. However, I've learned to expand on ideas related to the central theme while also ensuring they are seamlessly tied back to the original topic. This skill has been refined over years of academic writing practice.

- Diverse Word Choice:
While my vocabulary may not be the most extensive, I have a knack for rearranging words within sentences to convey the same idea in varied ways, thus avoiding repetition while emphasizing key points. To enhance my writing, I frequently utilize online resources to find transitional words and synonyms.

Weaknesses
- Insufficient Expansion of Ideas:
One of the challenges I face in writing is a tendency towards insufficient expansion on ideas. While I can articulate concepts effectively, I sometimes struggle to delve deeply into them, especially with topics I don't fully understand or am uninterested in writing about. This weakness can result in writing that feels superficial or lacks the depth necessary to fully engage readers.

- Grammatical Errors:
Despite my best efforts to maintain accuracy, I sometimes struggle with grammar. To address this weakness, I use various strategies, including thorough proofreading and utilizing grammar-checking tools like Grammarly.
